Never risk more than 1% of your account on a single trade. This allows you to survive 100 consecutive losses before blowing your account.
Risk:Reward Minimum
Aim for at least 1:2 risk-to-reward. Even with a 40% win rate, a 1:2 RR ratio keeps you profitable over time.
Prop Firm Sweet Spot
For prop firm challenges, 0.5% risk per trade with a 1:3 RR gives you the best chance of hitting profit targets without breaching drawdown limits.
